Chris van Tulleken

Chris van Tulleken is a British physician, academic, writer, and television presenter. He is an infectious disease doctor at University College London Hospitals and a professor of infection and immunity at UCL. He studied medicine at Oxford, tropical medicine at the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine, and earned a PhD in Molecular Virology from UCL in 2017. He is the author of the 2023 book Ultra-Processed People, which won the 2024 Fortnum & Mason Debut Food Book Award, and his television work has won two British Academy Film Awards.
