Eliezer Yudkowsky

Eliezer Yudkowsky is an American artificial intelligence researcher and writer on decision theory and ethics. He is the founder of and a research fellow at the Machine Intelligence Research Institute (MIRI), a research nonprofit based in Berkeley, California. He co-authored, with Nate Soares, the New York Times Best Seller 'If Anyone Builds It, Everyone Dies: Why Superhuman AI Would Kill Us All' (2025), and is also the author of the fanfiction novel 'Harry Potter and the Methods of Rationality' and founder of the community blog LessWrong.
