Tiago Costa

Tiago Costa is a Portuguese football coach and a member of Abel Ferreira's technical staff since their arrival at Palmeiras in October 2020. He watches matches from the stands alongside Carlos Martinho, tracking everything the opponent does — substitutions, changes of system and position — and relaying it to the bench; he also shares responsibility for attacking set pieces with Vitor Castanheira. He holds a UEFA coaching licence. He co-authored 'Cabeça Fria, Coração Quente' (2022), about the back-to-back Libertadores titles.
